Meet Jovoni Borbon
I was born and raised in Tombstone, Arizona, and began my football career as a quarterback at Buena High School. My path to long snapping was anything but traditional. I played quarterback and free safety during my freshman year of junior college before making the switch to long snapper, earning team captain honors by my second year.
From there, I transferred to SMU, where playing time was limited, ultimately leading me to enter the transfer portal and earn a full scholarship to McNeese State. There, I was named a First Team FCS All-American. I transferred once more to UMass on a full scholarship, where I was named team captain and earned PFF All-American honors. I have since relocated to the New York/Long Island area and work in wealth management.
Three transfers, a position change, two All-American honors, and serving as team captain at two different programs taught me that long snapping is built on discipline, consistency, and the ability to adapt. These are the same qualities I bring to every athlete I train, whether they are learning the fundamentals for the first time or working toward earning a spot on a college roster!
